He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and participates in the Maintenance of Certification program every 10 years. He is past president of the Tampa Bay Ophthalmology Society and a current vice president of the Florida Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Mahootchi began practice in Zephyrhills in 1997.
